There's a Farm in Everybody's Heart

Surround yourself with nature and watch your plants and animals grow.

Roam around the farms and feed local and exotic animals like free-range chickens and ostriches .

Have delectable dishes where the ingredients are guaranteed fresh because they
come straight from the gardens a few feet away.

Fulfill your heart's desire with a relaxing spa treatment.

Take a dip in the organic pool, like no other.

Spend the afternoon siesta or talking to friends in these cold breeze nipa huts.

Young and old alike will truly enjoy horsebackriding.

Or go fishing if you wish.

If you ever get tired from walking, ride San Benito's Eco Tram.

Have a cup of fresh-brewed exotic Kape Barako at Terraza de Barako.

Have a taste of all these and more at HACIENDA SAN BENITO.

AHAVA from the Greek word, meaning Love.

Today, I was invited to attend the opening of AHAVA store in SM Megamall, located at the 3rd floor. Bloggers, media and guests had their turn in testing AHAVA's various products.

The event was hosted by Grace Lee...oh she's so pretty and super nice.

Yummy food was served, but I didn't eat, just had orange juice. I'm on a diet til April 16, 2010(preparing for the upcoming high school reunion on April 17, 2010).

AHAVA's products have impressive healing powers of its ntural resources, try one for yourself. I particularly like Dead Sea Liquid Salt.

Julia & Julie Movie

I watched Julia & Julie movie last night. I like the movie because many of the characters share the same name with people I love. I sometimes call my daughter Julia, Julie. Plus the movie gave me something to work on. I'm not into cooking, tried many times...and many times I failed too. Mom-in-law cooks for us; from her house, my assistant will get the food and it bring it home. Ha, you think that's cool! I don't, I feel useless! I'm also not saying that I will follow Julia Child's recipe, I won't! Her ingredients are far more different from where I am. What I plan to do is learn to cook one dish a day. Today, I cooked Binawangang Manok (Chicken with White Cream Garlic Sauce). My husband said it's good but judging from the leftover, I believe, I failed...again! But like Julie in the movie, I will try again tomorrow...follow my journey, whoever you are, I hope you'll be a part of this...and thank you.

The LightHouse Marina Resort Subic

We've been to Subic many times before but our stay in Lighthouse Marina Resort, Subic, proved to be an amazing one!

There are many things to like about Lighthouse Marina Resort: First of, service is exceptional! All the staff were super friendly and courteuos.

Very clean facilities, and oh I like the bathroom! I can still watch television while inside the bath tub.
They have complimentary cocktails from 4:00 pm to 6:00pm at the Sands Bar. Complimentary nightcap from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. Hot chocolate (fantastic!), coffee or tea and brownies upon your request will be delivered to your room
Ligthouse provide activities for kids, twice daily, 10:30am and 3:30pm. On top of that they give stuffed toys and sweet treats to all the kids who attended the arts and crafts session.

I'd recommend Lighthouse for any couple who wishes to have a beach wedding. The view is wonderful! Why fly to a far away and crowded beach when you can have a very romantic beach wedding just hours drive from Manila.

We went sailing the next day. The Captai and the Co-Captain were very accommodating and nice. No dull moments with them as they tell stories from the many journey/sail they had. They even let my husband sail the boat.

I say, that not only in Subic but all over Philippines, Lighthouse Marina Resort surpassed my expectation of great service and wonderful facilities.

The Day I Met Pehpot

Yesterday I attended the launching of Bisolvon's Alagang SuperMOMents Photo Contest at Blue Whale, Fun Ranch, hosted by Ms. Regine Tolentino. Met a lot of blogger moms and we were all treated to a hearty lunch. Bisolvon set-up activities for our kids such as Wii and face painting. After the launch, the kids were given 3 tickets each to enjoy whatever rides they choose.

What really made this event different from the many events I attended is meeting Pehpot. I like blogging/writing. Been blogging since 2007 but not successful enough to promote my site (I'm technically challenged). I've asked a lot of friends and relatives to teach me the ins and outs of blogging but to no avail. People are way too busy! Not Pehpot, my Pehpot! She's an angel sent by God above. Pehpot helped me set up my paypal account and even lent me $10.00 to pay for my domain (to think we just met yesterday!).

Forrest Gump was correct in saying, "life is like a box of chocolate, you'll never know what you're gonna get.". I'm just so happy, got my unexpectedly sweet chocolate...from Pehpot...her willingness to help without asking anything in return.
