I have been following the career of Christine Bersola-Babao since she started as Star News anchor in TV Patrol. She essayed the role of "Anatom" in Sineskwela and was one of the pioneer hosts of TFC. She formerly hosted in San Linggo nAPO Sila, Showbiz Linggo Plus and Cinema One. In 1996, she co-anchored Alas Singko Y Medya with Julius Babao, where they eventually fell in love. In 2004 Magandang Morning with Julius and Tin-Tin was launched in DZMM. Later she embarked on a career as children's book author. She is also an advocate of many causes and charities. She's one hell of a lady! Not just another pretty face, she's bright (Valedictorian, OB Montessori Greenhills, Excellence Award in Assumption Makati, and Cum Laude in U.P. Diliman with a degree in Mass Communication) but most important of all Christine Bersola-Babao is a real kind and warm person.

Despite the multiple tasks Tin-Tin is handling she still managed to come up with ParenTIN.tv. Last July 2009 ParenTIN.tv was launched at Lancaster Suites, Mandaluyong. I was among the 50 lucky persons invited along with the media.

Tin-Tin's ever supportive and loving husband, Julius Babao.

ParenTIN.tv's Holloween Party held at Events Place, Greenhills last October 2009.

Director Freddie Santos has been involved with the performing arts for over thirty years now, winning thrice in the Aliw Award Best Stage Director. He is one of the country's top concert directors with a distinctive crossover directoral style that combines theater with pop and cutting-edge technology.
I am so fortunate to have been invited (thanks to Azrael Coladilla for sharing this!) at the launching of his Direk Freddie Santos blog at Republiq, Resorts World.

Super happy to see Mr. Pure Energy! A week before this event I dreamt of Garv V....that I met him, and he was wearing the exact same clothes in my dream. Weird! still happy, happy, happy, happy.....

With Direk Freddie (as he is fondly called in the concert.showbiz world). Visit his blog: DIREKSIONS Life Blogs of a Live Director at direkfreddie.com

With Bimbo Cerudo.
With blogger Little Miss Kessa, and my event buddies Jenny and Jing.

With Audie Gemora.

With Ms. Celeste Legaspi. Like her hair color! She's so accommodating, she stood for this photo even though she was having a hard time due to knee surgery.

With Ronnie Henares.

Had champagne and Mcdo for lunch .

Thanks Avie (the tall guy in the middle) of Republiq. He was willing and kind enough to take our photos with the celebs.
The blogger winner of an Ipad! Rachelle (hope got our name right), she came all the way from Silang, Cavite. She told me, she doesn't attend events too much because she live far from Manila. I was so happy she won, you deserve it girl!!!

Just got home from Red Crab, Greenbelt 3. 30 Smart Parenting mom readers were invited by Smart Parenting Magazine for a chat, ala, focus group discussion to talk about innovations that will be happening to SP Mag coming this July 2010.

Moms were treated to a hearty snack.

The Editor-In-Chief of SP, Ms. Mia Fausto-Cruz, welcoming moms.

Ms. Justine , Managing Editor of Smart Parenting website, hosted the event.
Ms. Abbie Yabot talked about Attachment Parenting. She's an advocate of breastfeeding (La Leche), and homeschooling her kids.

There were raffles and games too. Here, I joined Pinoy Henyo with Janese Halabaso. Unfortunately I wasn't able to guess the word (hu!hu!).

Even Mia joined Pinoy Henyo.
And Justine too!!!

For parents who have children 0-6 years old, grab a copy of Smart Parenting Magazine at your favorite bookstore. Join the group at http://www.smartparenting.com/

Three Things I like about Fully Booked

We're a family of readers. My husband John is into novel and comic books. I'm into arts & crafts, fashion, showbiz etc. Julia is into princesses and fairies. Rafael is into cars and other vehicles. Juan, my 4 year old son has just started Kindergarten, but he's into books already (I just have to sit down and read for him; if I can't do it, sister Julia reads for Juan). Any green book with bold letters and big pictures grabs Juan's attention.

These are the Three Things I Like About Fully Booked:

1. Fully Booked have a wide collection of books, magazines, educational toys and a lot more. You'll be surprised with the variety of items they are offering. It is in Fully Booked that my husband and I agree to stay for a very long time. When he goes to tools and men stuff, I can't stay even for 5 minutes, I get bored! When I go to clothes and apparel shop, my husband gets irritated. My husband used to order hard to find books on line or ask his sisters to buy for him in U.S. But not anymore, thanks to Fully Booked!

2. Fully Booked place is conducive even for very small kids like my Julia, Rafael and Juan. All Fully Booked stores are well-lighted, well-ventilated and well-cleaned. My kids especially like Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street Branch.

3. All Fully Booked staff are well-mannered and very accommodating, and customer service is superb! Special mention to the Staff of Fully Booked Edsa Shangri-La Branch. They are all extremely nice, my super favorite among them is Philip. He goes an extra mile(s) in helping us find books that we need and want. He even calls at home to update us on sale and new arrivals.

Aside from the 3 things mentioned above, I like Fully Booked - Edsa Shangri-La's Cafe....try the Veggie Sandwich, it's the same sandwich they sell/serve in Edsa Shangri-La Hotel's Bakeshop.

....because this is where I get too see my super crush, Senator Chiz Escudero.

Rafael A. Mendiola Jr., born on July 19, 1974. We call him names (in a good way, that is!) he is Pare to male friends, Tito John to nephews and nieces, John or Raffy in general. He is Tatay or Boyfriend to me. He is an epitome of a real good family man.

He is a very good son, not just to his parents, but mine as well.

He loves me tenderly (that's what I think!)! He's not much of a talker and he hates abusing the word I Love You. Being together for 17 years by September 11, 2010 (we were together September 11, 1993 and married on September 11, 2000) I can count from my fingers and toes the times he said I Love You. Hey, I'm not complaining, you see my husband has his own way of making me feel super special. He makes me coffee and juices and he never get in the way of the things I want to do.
He is a cool uncle. Plays and goofs around yet he never forget to give good advice to nephews and nieces. Brings them to places too!

He is a dependable, trustworthy and a VERY loyal friend. He only have few friends but he sticks with them for better or for worse, for short and long drive, for iced-tea or for beer, for boring or exciting chats and for long distance calls or local calls.

And most of all...most important of all, he is an inspiring, caring and loving father to our kids. He is Daddy, Dada, Dad to Julia, Rafael and Juan.

He makes yummy corned beef with potato, mushroom soup and garlic tuna.

He is funny! Super funny, he's not afraid to make silly and ugly faces just to make us laugh.

HAPPY FATHER's DAY to one of the most gorgeous, funny, smart, loving DAD, in the whole wide world!
