August 21 is a very important day to Filipinos as a nation, it is Ninoy Aquino Day. We celebrate it in memory of our hero who championed our democracy.

August 21 is also very important to Belle De Jour and its loyal followers, the BDJ Girls, because it is a time to let go of fashion to bring out the passion in helping our little (literally speaking, because they are children age ranging from 3 to 10) brothers and sisters.

Fifteen BDJ Girls who woke up very early to be on time for the trip. Meeting place, Mcdo - Quezon Avenue.

The girls are having fun on the bus...

...while I catch up on sleep...after this outreach I had to run for Electrolux Wok-a-Holics Finals.

Finally arriving in Tondo, Manila

We were happily welcomed by the kids of Tondo

Darlyn Ty sure knows how to make use of her talent, time and effort. If many young woman will be half as good as will be a much better world to live in. Salute to you Dar!

Janina (BDJ's Events Manager) having fun with one of the kids during a game.

To entertain the kids, we prepared for a storytelling..

Starting with Ang Alamat ng Unngoy

ending with Ang Sakim na Kapitbahay

Outside the school, where Dar and Jan facilitated group yourselves game.

Handwashing demonstration

Teethbrushing followed right after

Lyn Borje opted to celebrate her birthday by supporting BDJ's Passion Series instead of a party.

Kainan Time...everyone's favorite!

Group photo

It is such a lovely sight to see a family doing a good cause together

(in this photo Darlyn with Mom, Sister and the Priest from San Pablo Apostol Church)

After the event we visited San Pablo Apostol Church nearby. We were served homemade (should I say church made) Fiorgelato ice cream
...super yummy! BDJ Passion Series: Tondo Outreach is one of those event I will truly cherish
