Winnie The POOH

I'm not fond of stuffed toys even as a kid, I'd rather play sipa and piko with my friends. I remember receiving a Winnie the Pooh stuffed toy from my husband (who was then my boyfriend) for our 2nd year anniversary as sweethearts. I was truly disappointed! I wanted something else but I had no choice but to say thank you. Little did I know that this same Winnie the Pooh will play a big part in my family's life.
(Pooh stole a scene in this photo taken in Edsa Shangri-La Hotel,
our Wedding Day last 2000)

(This photo was taken at SM Megamall last 2006, during Winnie the Pooh
and Friends visit to the Philippines)

Meet our Pooh Family:
This is the same old Pooh that my husband gave me 15 years ago. I have given POOH to Rafael since he was 3 years old.
This is Julia's Pooh which I proudly got from Timezone's UFO Catcher last 2005.
Julia fondly calls her Pooh as POOHSHA.
This is Juan's POOHLOY, which I bought last 2008 at Toy Kingdom.
This Pooh have been by my side during 3 operations: 2 cesarean and a tonsillectomy. We can't go on vacation without bringing Pooh, Poohsha and Poohloy.

I still am not fond of stuffed toys, but seeing my kids loving their respective Poohs, I can't help but feel for them. Do you have a penchant for Pooh? Email me (with photos, if you like) at joydamendiola@yahoo.com. I'll send a special Pooh gift to the most touching Pooh story.

  1. Pooh has been an essential part of your family Mummy Joy and what lovely family you have your children are so beautiful just like you..:)

  2. That is a very nice Pooh story Mommy Joy. My daughter likes Pooh as well, but I'm afraid I don't have a story to tell which can be as touching as yours. Hihi.

Thank you for the joyful comments!
