The Green Hornet Movie Review

Green Hornet is a film directed by Michel Gondry, who's known for telling imaginative stories and action packed movies. This film is inspired from the 1930's radio show long before other superheroes came to life. I didn't know anything about this movie but basing it from the title, I was thinking the story revolves around basketball. The main character is played by Seth Rogen. I am not a fan of Seth Rogen, I actually wanted to skip this movie but my husband wanted to watch it.
Synopsis: Rogen plays Britt Reid, a spoiled rich kid who’s never done anything more worthwhile than throw kickass parties in his entire life. When his stern, newspaper publisher father (Tom Wilkinson) dies, Britt is forced to take over their business, The Sentinel newspaper publication. Reid had an encounter with his father’s mechanic/barista Kato ( played by Jay Chou), leads to them becoming superheroes, masquerading as villains in order to infiltrate the criminal underworld, which is controlled exclusively by Chudnofsky (played by Christoph Waltz). Cameron Diaz, played a small role as Reid's Secretary.

My verdict: The superheroes are not the usual good-looking guys like Batman, Spiderman, Superman and others. But this is definitely worth watching. With some funny punch lines thrown here an there, this movie made my day a lot happier. I like the character of Walt (Chudnofsky) because he was always concerned about how he looks (reminds me of a friend I wouldn't name, in respect to our beautiful friendship). I find Cameron Diaz' character a waste. I feel like, she's beyond this kind of tiny roles already, it's a waste for such a talent.
