Miracle Cure: Forgiveness

Mimi, Armi Paz Pineda, and I met at Rustan's Shangri-la some three years ago. We've clicked and became friends since then. Our respective children have been friends along the course too. But sometimes friendship goes sour for many crazy and petty reasons. For almost a year, Mimi and I have stopped communicating. Each have personal reasons for doing so. Last Saturday, my family and I attended Toy Con at the Megatrade Hall. Juancho asked for water, so I've decided to bring him at Global Pinoy Center

From the door, I saw Mimi. My initial thought was to back out and get water for Juan elsewhere. The logical and better part of me won, I smiled at her and went inside GPC. Mimi stood up, hugged me, cried, said sorry and I miss you. What followed next, were 2 old friends crying non-stop in the middle of GPC with many strangers watching. You think it only happens in movies? Think again!!! We only stopped crying when I realized the mascara I'm wearing might smudge, I told Mi, "ay naku naka mascara nga pala ako, baka magkalat!"...and we both laughed.

Some people may have hurt us (directly or indirectly, intentional or not) in the past or present, but we must realize that it is forgiveness that cures both the offender and the offended party.

(Look at the yellow blouse I'm wearing when Mi and I met again at Global Pinoy...)
(...it's the same yellow blouse I'm wearing the last time Mi and I saw each other before the falling out)

“To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love.

In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness.”

---Robert Muller

Miracle Cure

Luka Bloom

When all the fighting is done
Forgiveness
When all the blood has run
Forgiveness
The opening fist
Brings forgiveness
A wounded hand to kiss
Forgiveness

It's the wonder drug
It's the miracle cure
It could change our world
Make our lives secure
I take my chance at each abyss
And reach for my forgiveness
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/l/luka_bloom/miracle_cure.html ]
The moment the words cut in
Forgiveness
The moment anger begins
Forgiveness
In the light of a new day
Forgiveness
I hope you'll have your say
Forgiveness

Together we grow
Together we know
No losers, no winners
In forgiveness
Together we're free
Together we see
No right or no wrong
In forgiveness

It's the wonder drug
It's the miracle cure
It could change our world
Make our lives secure
I take my chance at each abyss
And reach for my forgiveness

Forgive me
I forgive you
