Connection

Did you, at any time in your life, felt instantly connected to a person you just met? I don't mean just an acquaintance, I'm talking about a connection that makes you drawn to the other. And the connection transcends whether you meet and talk regularly or not. You feel each other in many ways. You know when that person is lonely, hurt or rejoicing.

Meet Jes. She is one of those connections in my life. I met Jes barely a year ago. I sent her an FB message asking permission to use her photo shots for Baby and Co. post I was going to make. Without hesitation, she said yes. There's something about this woman that makes me like her, maybe her cheerful attitude.

The first time we met personally was at Sati's First Birthday, but we didn't get a chance to talk for I was busy being a Purple Fairy that day.

Then at Fun Ranch Outreach Program

At Mommy Bloggers Cowboy Party at Legend Villas

Learning from Jen Roxas that Jes is flying to U.S to come and stay with her hubby for good, I hurriedly organized a surprise bon voyage party for her.

After the surprise party, Jes and I became closer. Now that she's in Arkansas, she's the one who keeps me company when everyone else are asleep here in Manila. Thus, we call we call each other, "My Breakfast In Bed". Although Jes not a techie-genius, she does her best in helping me learn stuff from blogging.

Today, Jesselyn Lising turns 30. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the most 'kulit Nanay' I know!

Here's a song I like so much, specially dedicated for your birthday...

New York To California
Mat Kearney

Under the TV lights, you fell asleep again
Dont know, I'm writing this song about you
There's a picture of a Hollywood sign, reflecting off your skin I
Don't want to live another day without you
You woke up and said baby I, had one of those dreams again
The rain came down and I lost you, In the wind
You said something about don't leave, before you fell back asleep
Before I could sing my song back to you
[Chorus]
But you could find your self lost out in this world
And I found a way to get back to your side
no mountains to high, no stone is too small
I'll build a bridge through the fire, for you I would crawl
From New York to California

[Verse 2]
I could hear you softly breathing, oh what you do to me
But baby I could climb down into your dreams
I Build a ladder down through the clouds
Where the storms Is raging now I
Don't want to sing another song without you

[Chorus]
If you find your self lost out in this world
Then I'll find a way to get back to your side
no mountains to high, no stone is too small
I'll build a bridge through the fire, for you I would crawl
From New York to California

Singing, la la la la la laOhhhh, It's not too far, la la la la la la
Ohhhh, to where you are, la la la la la la
Ohhh, It's not too far,

Cause you, could find your self lost out in this world
And I, Could find a way to get back to your side

[Chorus]
If you find your self lost out in this world
Then I'll find a way to get back to your side
No mountains to high, no stone is too small
I'll build a bridge through the fire, for you I would crawl
From New York to California, To California, To California

  7. Happy birthday, Jes!
This article reminds me of my new kikay friend, Exci. Young enough to be my daughter but we click. I don't usually have that in people even if I am naturally friendly. Maybe they are Godsent? :)

  8. Yes I have felt that way. And is still feeling that way to my dear friend of mine. That now, even though we're very far away and haven't been able to communicate I can still feel when he's hurt, troubled or happy. And I get confirmation of that to a common friend. Weird as it may seem. But I guess it is what they call soulmate.
