A Happy, Hearty Lunch at HYPHY'S

HYPHY'S ambiance sets you under San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. The menu at HYPHY'S is a fusion of San Francisco and the Philippines. The service at HYPHY'S deserves special mention as the food servers were very prompt and are knowledgeable on the menu thus they were able to make suggestions very well.

Chef Bruce told us he was a fisherman at heart. When he's not doing anything, he'd go fishing at SanFo Bay. He noticed that other fishermen bring with them sandwiches that requires the use of both hands. So he said, why not make a meal that is both satisfying and easy to handle. This is Chef's tale of how this SPAM MASUBI came to be.

Chef Bruce has a nephew who loves to eat pasta and tuyo (salted fish). One day, he experimented on spaghetti with tuyo flakes. Chef Bruce's nephew loved it so much that he incorporated Calamansi Tuyo Spaghetti both in HYPHY'S and Chef's Table.

This Clam Chowder is a complete meal by itself. If you're a big eater like me, no sharing of this soup is necessary. But if one is on a diet mode, an order of this soup will be enough for the both of you.

Chef Bruce is not one to shy away from fans and diners alike who'd ask for a photo opportunity. If you're lucky, you may catch Chef Bruce at HYPHY'S during lunch like the people below from Unilab.

  4. Gellie, Jes, Ate Chel an Nicquee: You've got to try this, it's very Pinoy. The sauce is the Tuyo oil mismo. Calamasi Tuyo Spag is one of the most ordered in HYPHY'S and Chef's Table
