Boy Pick-up and Hotdog

Ogie Alcasid never fails to make me laugh in the scene of Boy Pick-up at Bubble Gang. Kung tutuusin sobrang walang kwenta ang pick-up lines nya. But because Ogie, Michael V and the rest of the casts play their roles so well, matatawa ka na lang talaga ng dahil wala lang, nakakatawa lang sila. Hindi mo na kailangan isipin ang dahilan ng pick-up lines ni Boy pick up.

Ogie is one talented man - sa pagkanta man o pagpapatawa. I remember when we joined Family Feud back in 2001 (where Ogie was the host), mabait sya at tunay naman pa lang nakakatawa even off camera.

Family Time and More at Tootsies

The stretch of Tagaytay ridge is coupled with restaurants overlooking Taal Lake but last November was one of those times when I really can't decide what to eat and where to eat because I was very hungry. I asked my husband to just proceed to the nearest food venue. Good thing the nearest was Tootsies. This is one restaurant I so wanted to try but we always miss for fear of getting caught in the traffic back in Manila.

We were fortunate to meet the owner, Ms. Tootsie, hence the name Tootsies. She graciously shared inspirational thoughts, family stories and their love for cooking Filipino food that resulted in Tootsies homecooked menu.

Ms. Tootsie personally tends to their clients whenever she's at Tootsies.

The homey ambiance at Tootsies is reminiscent of that in Baguio Country Club and Legend Villas
Due to insistent public demand (read: Julia, Rafael and Juan), Tootsies is now a part of our Tagaytay destinations. Why? They love Tootsies' adobo flakes.

With cousins Bang, Bea, Luis and Pauline at the rooftop while waiting for the food to be served.

Salute to Food Server, Jes, for the patience in dealing with hungry and rowdy family like ours.

When Atoy Co retired from Philippine Basketball Association, my love for watching the basketball waned, only to rejuvenate again when Jojo Lastimosa (born Isabelo Lastimosa Jr.) joined Purefoods TJ Hotdogs in 1988. I'd cheer the team where Jolas was under contract - from Purefoods to Alaska to Pop Cola. I worked for Fila as Human Resources Assistant back in the 90s so I was happy when Jolas became a Fila endorser but I never had the chance to meet him in person.

Finally, at the Media Launch of Jr. NBA this morning, I met Jojo Lastimosa in person. Yeah, sulit ang pag gising ng maagang maaga. To think, I was not supposed to attend this event because I was not feeling good the night before.

This is the first event I attended for 2012, what a way to start the year with none other than JOLAS - oh my JOLAS!
