How Beautiful Are You?

My son, Rafael, gave me letter for my 39th birthday with the title, How Beautiful Are You? He wanted me to answer it by encircling Aurora for Super Beautiful, Belle for Very Beautiful, or Jasmine for Beautiful.

I was torn between choosing Aurora and Belle. Eventually, I settled for super beautiful. Aba, sino pa ba naman ang magmamahal sa sarili kundi sarili din, diba? 

Then my son asked, "why did you choose Aurora, Mom?". I answered in a flash, "because I'm really super beautiful!".  I thought that it was the end of it but Rafael continued, "how can a woman say  that she's super beautiful?". Ala e, parang tanong sa Binibining Pilipinas! I paused for a long time, thinking and searching for an answer  that will satisfy my son's curiosity.  

Eto ang isinagot ko, "being beautiful does not only mean having pretty face. It has to be the whole being. Meaning, you have to have a good heart, being kind and all not just to people you love but also to people who needs to be loved". 

Rafael then said, "ahh, okay, you're super beautiful nga, Mom". 

I was touched by what my son said. At least now I know, I am beautiful not just physically, hehehehe! O, walang aangal, blog ko to! Sa mga gustong magreklamo, pumunta lamang po sa pinakamalapit na himpilan ng barangay.
