Fashionable Friday: Beauty in Broken Things

I've worn this flower necklace in many events. I must admit that it never fail to draw attention...

---even Tessa Prieto-Valdez found it cute. Just cute maybe because it's just one piece. Knowing how dramatic and fabulous Ms. Valdez, a compliment from her - even if it's just cute, is still a compliment.

Let me tell you a short story...

This metallic flower used to be an accent of my daughter's hairband. I turned it into a ring when part of it broke, using only double adhesive tape, glue and recycled metal ring.

I've used this ring for about 3 months then it fell off. The glue could not hold its weight. It was too big for the ring itself.

Then again when the metal ring broke I turned it into a necklace with the help
of pliers, metal wire and metal locks.

You see, there's beauty even in broken things...
