Nora Daza, the legendary Filipino culinary icon and the country's version of Julia Child passed away last Friday at the age of 84 due to an aneurysm.
If Kris Aquino is dubbed The Queen of all media at present, Nora Daza actually came before the multimedia was coined. Nora was in radio, television and print in her prime.

I was fortunate to to meet her at the launching of Chef Bruce Lim's book last 2011. Nora Daza is an inspiration to Filipinos as she promoted Filipino cuisine here and abroad.
Nora Daza will be missed but her teachings, cooking and more will live forever.
