Benefits of Watermelon

Though it's not yet summer, having a jar of watermelon shake makes my day better! I love having this fruit drink, specially at night because it curves my hunger for rice and coffee.  

Here are some of the benefits of watermelon:
1. Packed with a lot of antioxidants.
2. High in Vitamin C and is a good source of Vitamin A and beta-carotene.
3. Great source of lycopene, which is said to help reduce the risks of prostate cancer and other heart diseases. 
4. Rich in electrolytes and potassium which makes it an ideal drink after a heavy workout.
5. It is an ideal snack for those who would want to lose weight because it is fat and cholesterol free

These are not all of the watermelon health benefits. There are a lot more watermelon nutrition facts out there that truly makes them one of the best fruits out there.

2. Watermelon juice can be made into wine
3. The seeds have a nutty flavour and can be eaten, dried and roasted, or ground into flour.
