John and I expected to reach Vigan by 7am, but lo and behold, we made it at 2am because of TPLEX - Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway. TPLEx is an 88.85-kilometer four-lane expressway that connects central to northern Luzon, with its southernmost terminal located in Tarlac City. It was a breeze drive as we didn't have to pass every town of Tarlac. The final section ending in Rosario, La Union, is slated for completion in 2015/2016.
Karen, our GPS cannot recognize TPLEX. It keeps on leading us to the usual way, which has a smaller road.
Going up North is now a lot convenient, with a nice view because of TPLEX.
Tourists and travelers who wish go to Baguio, La Union, Vigan, Ilocos, Pagudpud,
use TPLEX for a faster ride.
