50 Shades of Grey Movie

I first heard of 50 Shades of Grey book about 4 years ago from Jes. Well, she said she'll send me a copy but to no avail.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a trilogy erotic romance novel by British author E. L. James.  The series has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and made into a movie because of its huge following.

The first installment in the Fifty Shades movie trilogy talks about the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia, and a young billionaire, Christian Grey. The movie is full of explicitly erotic scenes, lusty thoughts, elements of sadism and masochism that's why the biggest chain of mall - SM, decided not to show this movie in any of their cinemas.

With no other movies to watch this Valentine's Day, John and I, well mostly  because of me, we watched the movie.

Even if 50 Shades of Grey is Rated R18, they still blur many scenes. My husband said, this movie is too kinky for the Filipinos.  He didn't like the movie. He finds the steamy tale and masochistic relationship between  the main characters will ignite curiosity among the younger generation that may lead to violence against women.

With a running time of 1 hour and 50 minutes, be ready to see a lot of lusty scenes, unusual behavior and graphic nudity.

I'm hoping that no one below 18 will be able to sneak in the theaters to see this movie because it might give them idea that unusual kink culture, abusive and unhealthy relationship that involves sexual bondage and dominance is an acceptable relationships.

I rest my case.

  1. Thanks for the post, I was still undecided until now. All the stuff popping up my wall piqued my curiosity but after reading this I won't be looking forward to watching this trash any time soon.
