It's been five years of joyful blogging. I choose to celebrate my blogversary by giving back. For Occasions of Joy's 5th Year Anniversary, I organized a workshop entitled, The Joy in Arts and Crafts at Aquinas School. Participants of this activity were Grades V and VI from different schools.
We started the day with the Art of Decorating Cupcakes under the lovely couple, Alvin and Jannet Salazar of Funlipix.
Mr. Nick Bunye, Vice Principal of Aquinas School, welcomed participants, volunteers and speakers
Mr. Ricky Quinsay, a.k.a. Jestler The Magician, not only made the children laugh by his funny magic tricks. He inspired them of his humble beginnings and his success as a family man and magician. He taught the kids the secret ingredient on how to be successful in life with the words from the Bible.
I taught the kids to transfrom potato chips tube, crayon boxes, used envelopes into re-usable items like coin bank, gift box and a lot more in The Art of Recycling.
PJ Valenciano of Palamuti by PJ, Novie and Steph Lopez of Flow Jewelry and Crafts taught the children how to make fashion jewelries. All the kids made earrings and necklaces for their respective moms. Some of the boys.
I am surrounded by inspiring people who are selfless in sharing their time and talents to the future of our country - the children. Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyong lakat!
