Benefits of Yoga

I haven't been to a gym for months. Summer vacation has delegated my time to driving and chaperoning my children to their basketball and other creative workshops.

Yesterday as I was wearing my denim jeans, I felt bulges here, there and everywhere. Before I sleep, I promised myself that I'll start yoga again but the weather didn't cooperate. John and I had to pick up the kids early because classes are suspended due to Thyphoon Egay. I'm once again, constrained to attend a yoga class.

Today, whatever circumstances, I'm starting my journey to yoga again ( sana magtuloy-tuloy na!) because yoga is a great way to work on  flexibility, strength and endurance. Other benefits of yoga includes  Perfects your posture, Protects your spine, Betters your bone health, Increases your blood flow, Drains your lymphs and boosts immunity, Drops your blood pressure, Regulates your adrenal glands,  Makes you happier, Lowers blood sugar, Helps you focus, Helps you sleep deeper, Boosts your immune system functionality, Increases your self-esteem, Gives you peace of mind.

Some people think that yoga is hard. I personally believe it's not. Just about everyone can do it, too -- it's not just for people who can touch their toes or want to meditate. The hardest part, like in most tasks, is getting started.
