Magic Mike XXL

The movie Dear John made me cry and this is where I first noticed Channing Tatum. Channing made news again when he did good-looking actor defnitely catched more attention from the  surprise hit  Magic Mike three years ago. 

I didn't get to see the original Magic Mike so it was okay not to watch Magic Mike XXL. My friends kept saying it is a fun movie and since Riza promised that we will watch it together, Magic Mike XXL tickled my curiosity.

Riza maybe too busy that she'd forgotten about the movie but yesterday, to my surprise, my husband offered to accompany me for Magic Mike XXL.

What can I say? Channing Tatum has come a long way since his days as a stripper. He already carved a name in Hollywood and is now a family man. This movie is highly entertaining but is given an R-16 for strong sexual content, pervasive language, some nudity and drug use. With a runtime of 1 hour and 55 minutes, I got bored on the first 15 minutes of the movie. But that's alright because Channing's good looks, muscular built and great dancing skills compensated for it. (wink!wink!)

Synopsis:

Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, "Magic Mike XXL" is about former buddies who wants burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
