Singin' in the Rain The Musical Play

Although I do not frequent Solaire because I find it too far and that driving there drives me crazy because of the traffic, last Wednesday was an exemption when we watched the award-winning "SPLASH" Hit Musical at The Theater at Solaire.

Julia, Juan and I had a great time as they laughed and enjoyed the musical play based from a movie released in 1952, It remains to the most enjoyable, entertaining of all musicals for decades. Presented by London West End's Musical Production, Singin' In The Rain is a must see! The production is amazing which made us laugh from Lina Lamont's squeaky vioice, and fall in love from the romance of Don Lockwood and Kathy Selden. Truly, this musical never cease to fascinate audiences, young and old.

Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a famous on-screen romantic pair during the silent movie era in the 1920s.    Lt, Lina, however, mistake the on-screen romance tor real love.
Coming of the sound in the movie,  there is a problem with Lina's squeaky voice.  Don with friend, Cosmo brought in Kathy Selden, an aspiring actress to dub the voice of Lina.  While Kathy is working on the movie, Don falls in love with her.

Opens August 20, 2015 until Sept. 15, 2015   at The Theater at Solaire

Tickets available at:

Presented by : Lunchbox Theatrical Productions and Concertus +632 403-8678

Marimar 2015

My siblings and I grew up not watching telenovelas. These telenovelas are now called teleserye. When I was in elementary Analiza and Flordeluna were the popular telenovelas. My late Lola Ebeng was a fan of the late Julie Vega, hence she watched Analiza. As soon as my father arrived from work, and saw us watching, he used to tell us, "naku, wala kayong matututunan sa mga yan, puro sampalan, sabunutan, iyakan at kung anu-ano pa. Pwede namang tapusin sa isang oras e ilang taon na yan!". That is why we never liked watching teleseryes.

For the past week, I'm still glued on the my seat even if 24 Oras is done because of Marimar. I must say that the first week was a success. I like the beautiful set-up where Alice Dixon and Zoren Legazpi met and fell in love. Ina Raymundo is a convincing contravida.

I do not know how long Marimar will hold my interest. What sure is that I'm just waiting for Megan Young to come out in the story. I really like Megan even before she won as Miss World 2013. Marimar is truly Tom Rodriguez' biggest teleserye project.

Yes! Magazine at 15

YES! Magazine, the number one entertainment magazine in the Philippines, celebrated its fifteen year anniversary last last July 27 at Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila .

YES! Editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon welcomed and thanked all the stars and sponsors for making the magazine where it is now since its first issue in 2000.

As a fan at heart, I'm happy to be a part of this celebration. Thanks to Michelle of The Flower Express!

There were too many stars but I made sure I wouldn't miss Marian Rivera to check if I really look like her. I've been mistaken many times in the past as Marian when I'm wearing shades.

I was also happy to see Amy Austria because when I was young my late mother said I look like her.

Most of all, I was happy to see Christopher 'Boyet' de Leon because she's Mama's favorite actor.

City of Mandaluyong Science High School

In the previous schools of my twin kids, namely Aquinas School and Dominican College, I've always been asked to join and be a PTA officer. I firmly believe that accepting a position entails commitment. And since I know being an officer would eat up my time,  I gladly said no to requests from 2009 to 2015.

When Julia and Rafael entered 7th Grade in City of Mandaluyong Science High School this year, I  jokingly told them, "I'll run for PTA President". When the time to attend the general meeting for PTA election of officers came I told my kids, "I'm not going". The twins shockingly reminded me, "Mom, you said before you'll run pa nga for President, why aren't you attending?"

To cut the long story short, I was elected (more like forced, hahaha!) to be the President of Rafael's Class, Draco. Had I make it in time for Julia's class, I'd probably be the President, too (yabang! hehehe). I was forced, too, (hahaha!) as PRO for Phoenix Class.

Why am I blogging about this? I'm happy that I proceeded  to be a part of General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA), for I get to share my ideas and generally be of help for the development of school projects that will benefit all the students of City of Mandaluyong Science School (populary called MandScie).

Most of all, I'm happy with co-parents presidents, headed by Sir Francis Dela Paz, because everyone has a common goal and that our duties  does not feel like a burden - i'ts more like hanging out with friends.

GPTA President - Sir Francis Dela Paz

Earlier today was the Inauguration of the new 4-storey building, with 16 classrooms of MandSci. It was well attended headed by Congressman Neptali Gonzales II and his wife, Queenie.

Mr. Henry Sabidong - CMSHS Principal
Proud and happy that my twin kids belong in City of Mandaluyong Science High School.
