City of Mandaluyong Science High School

In the previous schools of my twin kids, namely Aquinas School and Dominican College, I've always been asked to join and be a PTA officer. I firmly believe that accepting a position entails commitment. And since I know being an officer would eat up my time,  I gladly said no to requests from 2009 to 2015.

When Julia and Rafael entered 7th Grade in City of Mandaluyong Science High School this year, I  jokingly told them, "I'll run for PTA President". When the time to attend the general meeting for PTA election of officers came I told my kids, "I'm not going". The twins shockingly reminded me, "Mom, you said before you'll run pa nga for President, why aren't you attending?"

To cut the long story short, I was elected (more like forced, hahaha!) to be the President of Rafael's Class, Draco. Had I make it in time for Julia's class, I'd probably be the President, too (yabang! hehehe). I was forced, too, (hahaha!) as PRO for Phoenix Class.

Why am I blogging about this? I'm happy that I proceeded  to be a part of General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA), for I get to share my ideas and generally be of help for the development of school projects that will benefit all the students of City of Mandaluyong Science School (populary called MandScie).

Most of all, I'm happy with co-parents presidents, headed by Sir Francis Dela Paz, because everyone has a common goal and that our duties  does not feel like a burden - i'ts more like hanging out with friends.

Earlier today was the Inauguration of the new 4-storey building, with 16 classrooms of MandSci. It was well attended headed by Congressman Neptali Gonzales II and his wife, Queenie.
