Lia Sevilla-Bernardo's Talk on Mindful Eating at Mango Tree

Media, bloggers and food industry personalities, gathered at Mango Tree restaurant  in BGC for a talk about healthy mindful eating in cooperation with the expertise of personal growth and integrative health consultant, Ms. Lia Sevilla-Bernardo.

Mango Tree prepared menu that supplemented Ms. Lia's talk with an explanation of the healing effects and medicinal benefits of select herbs and popular recipe ingredients.

The colorful and appetizing dishes, namely, Som Tum Thai, spicy fresh green papaya salad with cherry tomatoes, snake beans, peanuts and dried shrimps; the Yum Ma Khua Phao Song Goong, grilled eggplant salad with shrimp; Phad Pak Bung Fai Daeng or stir-fried morning glory with garlic, fresh chilies and soy bean sauce; and the Kai Jiew Hom or Thai omelette, was a delight while listening to Ms. Bernardo's educational and healthy food talk.

Ms. Bernardo highlighted that mindful and conscious eating instantly creates a happy, healthy, vibrant and thriving body and life in general.  She likewise explained how unhealthy food currently makes up for 50-70% of the average person’s diet and that with proper discipline and intake, one would never have to go on fad diets trends again. She said that eating healthy does not have to be challenging and expensive. She suggested to incorporate local super foods into one’s diet and take advantage of using certain vegetables, fruits and herbs for one’s healing and total wellness.
