My family, the #Mendiolables, have not run for quite sometime because of hectic school schedules but we couldn't say no to Mommy Mundo's The Mommy Milkshake Run, which was held early this morning at BGC.
I was so excited I woke at 2am; then we were out of the house by 430am. We arrived at the venue 4:45am. No traffic! I thought the run will start at 5:30am, only to find out that it's 6:30am. Ha!ha!ha! That's how excited I was, I forgot the time.
Anyhow, being early (very early) has its advantages. We were able to park near the run venue and got to chit-chat and take photos of other families waiting to run, too.
It was indeed a fun run as we created camaraderie and togetherness with family and friends. Even my favorite food/travel blogger Joy Felizardo of Gastronomy by Joy was there with her daughter Danica.

The event was hosted by power couple Gary and Janice Villnueva.
This was a family friendly run as Mommy Mundo took care of all needs, such as portable toilets, diaper changing area for parents with babies and toddlers, breastfeeding station and lounge for the nursing moms.

There was ample water stations along the route that provided hydration for all participants. First Aid stations and Medics were also available.
After the run, everyone received a certificate of participation, as well as a bag of goodies! I even won the Most Active Mom Award!
The Mommy Milkshake Run was first organized in 2007 and was originally conceptualized in support of World Breastfeeding Month. The 6th Mommy Milkshake Run had a 3km and 5km where families, expectant moms, moms and dads, toddlers and kids, and running enthusiasts run with no pressure (no time limit).

Congratulations Joy!
