I'm not happy and comfortable to travel without the rest of the #Mendiolables (hubby and the kids) that's why I have turned down couple of invites to review and feature hotels that requires to stay overnight.
Ms. Darl's invite for a staycation to experience Midori Hotel soft opening had me thinking like crazy until an hour from the pick up time slated. Should I go or not? Will I be able to sleep? Will I enjoy while away from home?
MIDORI Clark Hotel and Casino, by the way, is the first 5-star luxury hotel and casino in Central Luzon. It occupies a total area of 9,900 square meters, with 111 well-appointed rooms with high-end amenities. I've been there once for Twinnings Tea Appreciation so I know it would be a missed opportunity if I don't accept the invitation for staycation.
Fast forward...We were picked at Galleria at 9am. Arrived at Midori Hotel by 11am. Check in. Lunch at 12nn. A quick tour of the place. Settled at our respective rooms. Massage at the spa. A short program for the soft opening. Rest at our respective rooms. Dinner at Toscana. Rest at our respective rooms. Had a few drinks at Baccus. Headed back at the room for the night. Breakfast at Toscana. Check out at 11am.
Did I like my first travel without my family? A roaring YES I enjoyed my time at Midori Hotel for the following reasons:
1. I shared a room with a person like and comfortable with - my tukayo and favorite food, travel and lifestyle blogger (Joy Felizardo of Gastronomy by Joy).
2. I slept so well (which rarely happens) because the Superior Room was big enough for two moms who deserve that much rest and relaxation. The room has a relaxing atmosphere with the amenities I look for in hotels, namely, comfortable and nice smelling bed and pillows, couch, working table, iron and ironing board, safety deposit, hot and cold shower, electric kettle, welcome fruit platter, tea, coffee, wifi connection, bathrobes, slippers, plenty of electric outlet, hair dryer and toiletries. The published rate for Superior Room is P12, 880.
There are eight spacious and cozy room types, namely, Superior (43.4 sqm), Deluxe (52.5 sqm), Grand Deluxe King (63.9 sqm), Junior Suite (80.4 sqm), Premier Suite (96.3 sqm), Midori Suite (123.7 sqm), Penthouse Suite (146.1 sqm), and the exquisitely designed Presidential Suite (366.7 sqm).

3. The food served at Toscana offers a wide variety of cuisines that satisfied my taste buds!
3. We had a relaxing massage at the Spa Center. Spa Center offers spa experiences to a whole new heights.

4. We had a few drinks at Baccus, accompanied by good music and great company. Other entertainment and relaxation facilities are the technologically advanced Casino, KTV Clubs, Mahjong Rooms, Fitness Center, and Swimming Pool (will be available by September)
5. Midori Clark Hotel and Casino is just 2 hours or less (depending on the traffic, of course!) from Manila so I thought it'll be easy for me to go home in case I miss my family. It is located along C.M. Recto Avenue, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines. It is about five minutes away from Clark International Airport. Clark Freeport is the gateway to the north, strategically positioned about less than two hours drive from north of Metro Manila via NLEX, 45 minutes going to Subic via SCTEX, and less than 3 hours to Baguio City via TPLEX.
6. Midori Hotel and Casino boasts of simple, yet elegant and chic designs. The place is a perfect place to have that perfect shot for an OOTD. Since both Joy and I are into wedding coordination, we felt that Midori Hotel and Casino is great for pre-nuptial photo and video coverage.

I love this Joy! Specially our pictures, hahah, the best is the one I'll be grabbing and will be posting in FB! Love yah!
