The quote, "try and try until you succeed" has finally happened to my son today as he won Mr. United Nations 2016! I'm one proud mom, mama, mother, nanay here!
It was Juan's fourth time to join Mr United Nations. It's still so clear to me what he said last year, after losing for three straight years, "Mom, I will join again next year. I will not stop joining United Nations until I win".
I thought he was kidding but a month ago, he told me he was chosen to represent his class as Mr. Canada. Only to find out from Ms. Shali that my son actually volunteered. What can I do, he's bent on winning that trophy.
I was hoping they get to choose the country so Juan can be Mr. Japan or Mr. China or Mr. Korea. These countries suits Juan. It was actually the three countries I represented when I was in elementary.
Another quote has been proven here, "You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win" by Zig Ziglar.
My son did just everything, he planned to win (by volunteering), prepared to win (by practicing well and begging me to buy him a nice costume) and he expected to win.
