I can cook only a few Filipino viands that's why I ask my frineds and relatives to teach me their signature dishes. Today I tried cooking Asadong Manok, which was thought to me by my friend Nen a year ago. Ngayon lang ako nagkalakas ng loob na subukan syang iluto.
Ingredients:
1 kilo chicken, breast and leg part. Remove the skin.
⅛ cup calamansi juice.
⅛ cup soy sauce.
1 onion
2 tomatoes
Butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Marinate chicken pieces in salt and pepper. Sift for 5 minutes. Stir fry the chicken. Set aside chicken aftre frying. On a different pan, saute onions and bay leaf in butter. Put tomato sauce. Simmer for a few minutes. Put calamansi juice. Stir then cover. Simmer for 5 minutes then put the pan fried chicken.Put the tomatoes, cover the pan unti the potatoes are cooked.
