The Pilipinas FJ Summit™ 2017 at Buhayani Festival

Erlier today at Max's Roces was an afternoon of getting to know not just about Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV but more so about the club - its members and their families. This kind of car club is something I'm happy to share because its members are family-oriented.

The event was actually a preview of what to expect on Pilipinas FJ Summit™ 2017, which will be held at Jose Rizal Plaza, across the Calamba City Hall in Calamba, Laguna on April 29-30, 2017. There will be a grand showcase and eyeballf FJ Cruiser owners from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Philippine FJ Cruisers Club, Inc. is the organizer of this first  Pilipinas FJ Summit

The Pilipinas FJ Summit™ 2017 Kicks Off the Buhayani Festival to commemorate National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, and to celebrate Calamba City's history and heroes, both historic and contemporary.

The Pilipinas FJ Summit™ 2017 will most definitely be an event for the whole family. It is open to the public and will have something for everyone, even for non-FJ Cruiser owners.

Conquer the Pilipinas FJ Summit™ Off-Road Challenge. This exciting off-road course will test the prowess of the FJ Cruiser and its driver. It is designed by Dennis Javier of Jungle Base Firing Range and 4X4 Center, popular to the 4x4 community for his trails in Tanay, Rizal. He will hold clinics on safe and responsible off-roading. He will also be on hand to give tips and pointers to challengers. The Off-Road Challenge will also be open  to other 4x4 vehicles.

Summit Delegates can feast up close on over a hundred FJ Cruisers that will be displayed on the Summit Day.  “The main attraction of the Summit will be the convergence of as many FJ Cruisers that can be accommodated in the 4-hectare Summit grounds. If the FJ Cruiser is a reflection of the personality or lifestyle of its owner, be prepared to encounter as many permutations of the FJ Cruiser as there will be Summit Delegates,” shares Philippine FJ Cruisers Club President Atty. Numeriano Rodriguez, Jr.

Summit Delegates will have the opportunity to meet and befriend fellow FJ Cruiser owners and enthusiasts from all over the country. It will be a whole day of fun and fellowship that will culminate with a Pilipinas FJ Summit party in the evening. Delegates can exchange and share notes with new FJ friends; ask questions, technical or otherwise, about their FJ Cruiser, their upgrades and modifications, their experiences and about certain brands or parts, plus their off-road adventures.

Delegates can also avail of big Summit discounts from the major suppliers and distributors of the best after-market parts and accessories for your FJ Cruiser. They will be there to make every Delegate’s dreams come true and with big discounts.

Part of the proceeds from the Pilipinas FJ Summit will be donated to the various socio-civic projects of the Philippine FJ Cruisers Club. About the Toyota FJ Cruiser: The vehicle is a retro style, mid-size SUV with styling and off road performance reminiscent of the original Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ40). The "FJ" in the Toyota FJ Cruiser's name refers to the chassis specification code of the Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. The classic Land Cruiser was produced worldwide from 1960 until 1984.  And like the old FJ40, the Toyota FJ Cruiser has superior off-road capabilities.

The production of the FJ Cruiser has been discontinued in 2014 and only a handful is available in showrooms. If you want one, now is the time to get it. However, excitement and capability live on with adventure-ready Toyota vehicles. In the Philippines, the excitement over these vehicles is very much alive with the upcoming Pilipinas FJ Summit™.
