Red Sparrow

My husband wasn't feeling well for the last three days and woke up asking if I want to watch Red Sparrow starring Jennifer Lawrence. How can I say no to John knowing that watching movies is his way of de-stressing.

Jennifer Lawrence re-teams with her Hunger Games director for this movie which is based on the novel of the same name by Jason Matthews.  The film also features Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons, Charlotte Rampling, and Matthias Schoenaerts.

The story revolves around Prima ballerina Dominika Egorova when she faces a bleak and uncertain future after she suffers an injury that ends her career. She soon turns to Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people to use their minds and bodies as weapons. Egorova emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow after completing the sadistic training process. As she comes to terms with her new abilities, Dominika meets a CIA agent who tries to convince her that he is the only person she can trust.

I definitely like this kind of movie but it is Rated R-16 so please do not attempt to bring your teen kids 15 years old and below because it deals with complex sexy and emotionally aspect of spy life. There's plenty of gruesome scenes too.
