Davao is a province in the Philippines that was in my list to visit for years. Finally, a day before my birthday, John and I flew there. On the first day, we toured around downtown and the city.
The most exciting part was when we went to Eden Nature Park for my 45th birthday. It was actually an impromptu trip. No plan at all! We just went at Eden because all the Dabawenyos we talked to kept on asking if we've been there.
I booked via Agoda.com as soon as we reached their reception area. Do not copy what we did! Book ahead of time to secure a room. We were just lucky, maybe because it was my birthday, to get the last available room.
What we like at Eden Nature Park: EVERYTHING! The people are very nice. The food is delicious and nutritious. They grow their own vegetables. The cold is Baguio feels! I like the weather so much. The place, oh the place, brought us closer to nature. Imagine looking at those big, strong trees, gigantic bamboo, the sound of stream, lulling you to sleep. Heaven! Yes, we felt we were in heaven. It was peaceful everywhere we look.
They also have activities you will enjoy like fishing, aerial bicycle, butterfly garden , swimming pool, and others.

How to get there:
From Davao City, we took 2 jeep rides (forgot the names though). Then a tricycle (P150 each, ). Others charge 100/pax. Others charge 200/pax. This is still cheap compared to riding a cab, which will charge way higher like 3,500 from Davao City to Eden.
My advice, be bold and adventurous. We saved a lot from doing so. enJOY and travel more!
