Crazy Rich Asians

I've waited for months to watch Crazy Rich Asians. I wanted to watch this movie with my daughter because watching romatic films is our bonding. Unfortunately, Julia is busy with her research project that needs to be submitted on the first week of October.

My husband and my eldest son does not like watching films like this. Luckily, my youngest son, volunteered to go with me provided I feed him on a fancy restaurant (lol!). Juan even suggested this will count as our mom and son date.

With a runtime of 120 minutes, Crazy Rich Asians is a story about New Yorker Rachel Chu (Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Golding), to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. It turns out that he is not only the scion of one of the country's wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors.

I'm giving this film  4 💙💙  out of 5 because it's a feel good movie with many funny punch lines delivered smoothly by actors. I forgot why I was sad for past few days because of this movie.  It felt like I was watching Pretty Woman, rich boy-poor girl. The only difference is Rachel graduated from college, and the fact that an all-Asian cast.

I love the production design, costumes and the location shoot. It reminded me of our family vacation in Singapore last year
