13th Spring Film Festival

I felt like choking because there's too many things to do for the months of January and February. I needed to get away for just one day to breath and regroup my senses.  Thanks to The Red Carpet Cinema at Edsa Shangri-La Plaza because I was able to watch three consecutive movies for FREE at the 13th Spring Film Festival.

Spring Film Festival is one of the most celebrated festivals in the Filipino-Chinese community. It will run from January 30, 2019, to February 5, 2019, featuring seven full-length films, with more films about love, family, culture, and community promoting Chinese culture and language to the Philippine community.

Among the 7 featured movies, namely The Third Way of Love, Lost in Space, Detective Chinatown, I Belonged to You, A Tale of Three Cities, and Lost in Hong Kong, I watched The Third Way of Love, I Belonged to You and A Tale of Three Cities.

I liked The Third Way of Love. It has a running time of  113 minutes.  It is about a Chinese romance film about two lovers, Lin Qi Zheng—from a rich family and Zhou Yu—a smart and beautiful lawyer. I like this movie for its kilig factor and a bit of funny notes. I just didn't like the ending. Watch it, I won't spoil πŸ˜€

The second movie is I Belonged to You, with the same running time of  113 minutes. I Belonged to You is a story that revolves around two radio disc jockeys and the world they inhabit. They find that their audience reflects their own love and heartbreak, and forces them to deal with issues larger than just their own lives. The story is based on the bestselling series of short stories by renowned Chinese writer Zhang Jiajia and is directed by Zhang Yibai. This movie did not catch my attention so I was mostly taking a nap πŸ˜€.

The last movie is definitely my favorite! A Tale of Three Cities, Runtime: 131minutes, is a timeless love story of the legendary Jackie Chan’s parents, A Tale of Three Cities follows through Charles and Lee-Lee Chan’s complicated love story from their meeting during the Second Sino-Japanese War and being separated during the Chinese Civil War to finally reuniting in HongKong leaving behind their respected children from previous marriages. After reuniting in Hong Kong, they gave birth to Jackie Chan and it took them 38 years to finally reunite with their other children.

You still have 4 days to watch all 7 movies for FREE! Ano pang hinihitay nyo.

Emma. Percia and I became close 3 years ago when we were elected Officers for the CMSHS GPTA. We haven't been seeing much lately because Em is super busy with work and Percia is actively doing her live selling.

Last night, we got to catch up when Percia and I paid our respect to Em's Kuya, who passed away. We sepnt up to 2am as we spent pagpag in Dunkin Donuts Barangka,

Pagpag after attending the wake of Emma's brother. This superstition means going elsewhere after attending the wake before heading home to shake off the spirit of the deceased lest it follows you home. Superstitions surrounding wakes are among the most widely practiced by Filipinos still today. Another is that the family of the deceased should not drop off visitors at the door upon saying goodbye as it symbolizes dropping them off at their own deaths.

Ways to Cope with Goodbyes

I'm writing this article for all my friends and readers who are extremely sad right now for losing important people in their lives for whatever reasons...

Let's face it, farewells are an inevitable part of life. We say goodbye for many reasons, such as, changing careers and leaving years of friendships behind, kids are growing up, leaving home and soon marrying, forever goodbye with the death of a loved one, or ending a relationship (to a partner, a friend, a lover or a spouse).

According to psychologists, we start learning how to deal with being left early in life when we were young kids that is why it is very important for parents to prepare children, talk to them before leaving them for work. If a parent is able to both acknowledge a child’s feelings and also provide ways to soothe them, both before they leave and after they return, the child will learn more separation coping skills. John and I managed to do this well with our three kids.

My Mama has prepared me well when saying goodbye. I remember kasi noong maliit ako, I was the youngest kid for 7 years bago dumating ang 2 pang younger siblings ko. Pero Mama would always bring my Kuya when she goes somewhere. I'd ask her, "Ma, iwan na naman ako? Bakit laging si Kuya ang kasama?". Mama would then reply, "Ikaw kasi matapang ka. Di ka iyakin. Tsaka di ka magkukulit kahit wala ako sa tabi mo". Although I was hurting because I really wanted to be with her, I'd stay home and wait for her to return with pasalubong (in short, suhol πŸ˜€).

Mama's words "Ikaw matapang ka" made me tough and it helped me throughout this 45 years.

In order to cope with goodbyes, from simple to the complicated, we need ways to make ourselves feel better kasi walang ibang mag- aayos ng pakiramdam mo kundi sarili mo din. How to make yourself ok? Ano ba ang hobby mo? Listening to music? Then go ahead, listen or better yet sing as loud as you can (just make sure pag dating ng 10pm tapos ka ng kumanta para di magreklamo ang iyong kapitbahay) πŸ˜€.

Are you a nature-lover kind of person? Then mamundok ka! Join mountaineering groups, explore the mountains, commune with nature and find that inner peace.

Going to the gym is also a good way to cope with goodbyes. Magigiing sexy or buff ka na, nawala pa ang lungkot mo dahil exercising releases happy hormones.

Odd or weird as it may be for others, but cleaning the bathroom makes me happy. So kapag sad ako extra clean ang aming banyo πŸ˜€. Mas marami din akong natatapos na mga projects. I work faster. I work best when I'm sad.

Whether you are saying goodbye because of death, or the end of a relationship, give yourself time to adjust. Give yourself time to cry. Ok lang umiyak. Pero wag kang magtatagal sa pag-iyak kasi mamamaga ang iyong mga mata, ang eyebags, nakakapangit!πŸ˜€.

Losing someone is painful and takes time to ease. Nothing will be right in the beginning but you'll see the more you do open yourself up to the different emotions, the more you will be able to process the more painful ones.

Feeling sad about leaving one situation, or anxious about ending a relationship, does not necessarily mean that you have made the wrong decision. Most of us have these feelings about even the best possible moves in our lives. Nothing will be right in the beginning but eventually things will be alright.

Whatever kind of goodbye you are facing right now I know how incredibly hard it is, I've been there, felt the pain, cried bucket of tears — but hey don’t stay that way for life's too short to stay unhappy too long.

Kenzo Tumpalan

I take being ninang seriously. I like to see my inaanak not just during Christmas. When I visit my Godchildren in their homes it's always for two reasons, making my inaanak feel special and having a catch up with their mom or dads (who are of course my friends)

I met Ainie, the mom of Kenzo, in Aquinas School some 10 years ago. Ang tagal na! Keitan, Ainie's eldest son and my son Rafael were classmates since Grade 1.

Yesterday I enjoyed playing the drums with Kenzo Tumpalan, my future rock star drummer inaanak.

Supporting a child's hobby at an early have many benefits, such as, having a happy, confident and relax son or daughter.  Kids develop “self-smarts” or intrapersonal skills thus building self-esteem, form their personal identity.

Such is the classic example of my cutie and talented inaanak, Kenzo Tumpalan.

Sex Education

My husband kept telling me about this Netflix series but I felt like I've had enough of series. I got tired watching Modern Family. Don't get me wrong, I like The Modern Family, it's just way too long for my short attention span😁.

John assured me though that Sex Education is different, consisting of only 8 episodes, with running time of 45 minutes in each, you can finish it in a day."  He even added, with a wink on his right eye, "it is a must see, you'll like it, babe". I don't know if he was teasing me because of the word sex. 😁

It was only the other day that I finally had the time to watch  Sex Education because I was too busy since December 18, 2018, running from one place to another.

My verdict? This is a MUST SEE SERIES whether for young adults (18+) or old moms like me .  Just make sure there's no children at home while you're watching so you don't have to turn on and off the television.😁

I'm giving this series a five out of five stars as it tackles not only about sex but the underlying reasons of how and why people behave in such manner, pinpointing the good and the bad parts of life and  imparting lessons along the way.

With all the elements of comedy, drama and current social issues happening on social media,  more adults are watching the show. I'm actually recommending this series for parents to see and not for the younger crowd.

Some Filipino parents might find this series too much, but honestly there's more to see and learn here than sex per se. Parents may actually be able to relate to some situations and eventually work out some issues happening with their respective kids.

Some of the viewers didn't like the ending but I say, it is what it. It just goes to say that life really is unpredictable and you just have to be strong and flexible enough to accept the things you cannot change and be brave enough to take risks.

With that said, I'd like to leave this quote, mentioned by the main character, Otis Milburn, "You can't choose who you're attracted to. You can't engineer a relationship. You have to do what's right."

Socially awkward high school student Otis may not have much experience in the lovemaking department, but he gets good guidance on the topic in his personal sex ed course -- living with mom Jean, who is a sex therapist. Being surrounded by manuals, videos and tediously open conversations about sex, Otis has become a reluctant expert on the subject. When his classmates learn about his home life, Otis decides to use his insider knowledge to improve his status at school, so he teams with whip-smart bad girl Maeve to set up an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with their classmates' problems. But through his analysis of teenage sexuality, Otis realizes that he may need some therapy of his own.

Fine Image Salon Day with Mommy Donna

Mommy Donna of Homeschooler Kib Blog liked the color of my hair when I went to Hong Kong last year. She wanted a change for this 2019 so I asked if she wants to try Fine Image  Salon, located at M. Roxas St, in Makati.

So last Tuesday, Donna and I met at Mcdo, had a joyride and beautified ourselves with the help  of Akira Joy and Yuna.

Fine Image  Salon  is owned by my tukayo Joy. It was nice that she was there too during our visit.

Am I happy? YES, as always. Is Donna happy, I believe so.

Mr. and Ms. MandSci 2019

Mondays for me is general cleaning the house, catching up on sleep and watching a movie with my husband. I was not able to do any of the three because I was at City of Mandaluyong Science High School to support my twin kids, Julia and Rafael for Mr. and Ms. MandSci 2019 Introduction of Candidates. They were both chosen by their respective class, Julia for Curie and Rafael for Sievert.

Am I nervous for them? No. I am excited for them. I want them to enjoy every moment of it because that's just how life should be lived, enjoying every moment.

When Midlife Crisis Turns Into Depression

This article has been seating in my draft for quite so long. A year to be exact.  The recent suicide of Razorback drummer Brian Velasco has prompted me to post this article to remind you to reach out to your friend, your sibling, your office mate, your neighbor, your partner or just random person seating beside you in Grab Share. Your simple gesture of kindness may help save a life.

Oftentimes we think that joyful, strong and independent people do not need our attention. Wrong. Sometimes the happiest people are the loneliest. Sometimes the strongest people are the weakest. Sometimes the most independent person is the one who needs more attention and love.

And this is how I've been feeling last year...

I'm feeling a lot restless lately. I wanted to do so many things and accomplish things in such a short time. In reality though time is very limited.

I want to go back doing yoga, learn to sew and maybe level up my knowledge on urban farming. Parang gusto ko na din mag stop sa vlogging and blogging. Deactivate Facebook and go back to that life when social media isn't a thing.

Ang daming tumatakbo sa isip. Di ko na sila mahabol kaya madalas may mga nakakalimutang mga bagay tulad ng saan inilagay ang telepono, and wallet, eyeglasses at iba pa.

Sometimes tears just roll down my cheeks without any reason. Ano itong nararamdaman ko? Ganito ba talaga ang feeling ng midlife crisis? Ano nga ba ang mid-life crisis?

According to Wikipedia, "A midlife crisis is a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle-aged individuals, typically 45–64 years old."

What's worst is when midlife crisis turns into depression because depression may result to having thoughts of committing suicide.

I am one lucky person because I have friends who keeps me entertained. Nora, who's based in California is my constant ka-chat sa madling-araw. Since my body clock coincides with US time, magka abot kami ng oras ni NutsπŸ˜€

Eulette, the widow of my late classmate Noi Tomas, is also a big help to me. She's my kakulitan naman mula umaga hanggang gabi. Actually di nya alam na may nararamdaman akong midlife crisis.  My purpose of chatting with her is actually to console her for losing her husband at such a young age. Pero sa true lang, she's the one helping me, di man nya alam. Ngayon malalaman nya na.πŸ˜€

Then my youngest son Juan is the best antidote to this negative emotions. Of course hindi nya pa alam ang midlife crisis at hindi nya alam na naramdaman ko ito last year. His constant care and love for has helped me forget about depression.

Having midlife crisis does not mean you have troubled life. Midlife crisis and depression can happen to anyone kaya reach out ka din pag may time. Hindi yung pag may kailangan ka lang sa tao. πŸ˜€

Have you or a friend experienced a midlife crisis? If yes you might want to read this article I found at www.moneycrashers.com. Maybe you can pick some strategies to help resolve midlife crisis and avoid the trap of devastating depression.

Signs and Symptoms of a Midlife Crisis are Drastic Changes in Habits, Mood Swings, Impulsive Decision-Making, Irritable, Angry without justification or warning, inability to sleep or oversleeping, obsession with appearances, including different styles of clothing, makeup, and exercise routines, disconnecting from old friends and peplacing them with younger friends. Havigg feeling of general hopelessness and being “stuck in a rut. Thoughts of Death or Dying can lead to a dangerous obsession with death, and lead to depression. Sudden career change. Leaving a Spouse or Having an Affair. Increased Consumption of Alcohol or Drugs, Listless and Bored. Assigning Blame to others.

Tips and Strategies for Dealing with a Midlife Crisis:

1. Acknowledge the Crisis. Acknowledging the changes happening can help you find a way to move past the crisis.

2. Think Before Making Any Radical Changes. Before quitting a job, buying an expensive car, or leaving a spouse, talk to family members and friends. Sometimes, having an outside opinion can provide a useful perspective.

3. Get Professional Help. This can include different kinds of therapy, medicine, and holistic treatments.

4. Midlife Crises Are Not Inherently a Bad Thing. Use new thoughts and ideas in a positive way. With careful consideration and preparation, attitudes can improve with change, lessening the effects of the crisis.

5. Move Outside Your Comfort Zone. Trying a new activity, increasing a base of knowledge, and traveling can also help you move out of your comfort zones.

6. Volunteer More. Volunteering to help others can offer a new perspective to the problems caused by a midlife crisis. Working with the homeless or victims of domestic violence, for example, can help provide you with context during a midlife crisis.

7. Talk About the Crisis with Loved Ones

8. Create New Goals

9. Exercise and Eat Healthy Foods. Incorporating exercise, yoga, or meditation into a daily routine can help people suffering through a midlife crisis to gain perspective. Eat organic superfoods and take supplements for a much-needed energy boost.

Life is Beautiful in Every Sense

Life is beautiful and magical and all things wonderful—if you let it be. Sometimes we get distracted by missteps and misfortunes, and we take it to heart. We let it take the magic away. Not me. I appreciate every moment, even the most mundane and painful ones because I know I am alive knowing I still feel all these. With every opportunity to be happy and sad, I give thanks because life is beautiful in every sense, and I am beautiful in every single way...akala nyo seryoso no! 😁

It's been 12 years since I last saw my cousin. We never had the chance to see each other again when she moved to London.

I have all these incredible memories with Ate Ruth when I used to chaperone her para lang payagan sya maglakwatsa o makipag date.😁

I was absent nung kinasal sya with Bob this January 8 in Manila because I was in Batanes. Akalain mong sa KFC lang pala kami muling pagtatagpuin ng panahon.

Lamon Center by Artists Alley

It was not in our plan to eat at Lamon Center by Artists Alley in Batanes. John and I actually didn't know anything about this cute coffee shop. We were supposed to eat at Kubo by Pension Ivatan but the guy in front was so rude we lost our appetite. So we walked around  the town proper looking for a place to have dinner when Jerish Alcoy called us.

We met Jerish a day earlier at Basco Lighthouse. He is an artist and a part-time tour guide from Batanes. I thought we wouldn't see him again but there he was at Lamon having dinner with his girlfriend, Jhem.

The four of us were having a good time when a lady recognized me. She is Julie from Bulacan. She's also staying in KenAdrians and recognized me (probably my jolly-loud voice😁. So the four became five, then six when the owner, Jo Jose joined in the fun!

The next day, as we were on our last day of tour, I invited husband and wife Engr. Bong and Mam Carol to try Lamon Center. Then along the road we met husband and wife Atty. Daye and Gil from Bulacan, and invited them too.

The quiet Batanes was beaming with laughter that night as we exchanged stories and jokes about life, love, work, Manila, family. One thing we all agreed upon, ANG GANDA NG BATANES!

What can I say about Lamon Center? Although they have limited menu, I definitely enjoyed their organic coffee! They also serve tsokolate, tea and other drinks. I also liked their rice meal (more like Singaporean food) and their kamote fries. Jo uses ingredients that is fresh from Batanes. She mostly buys from people growing plants in pots. I also super like that the fries is serve in a kamansi leaf.

Since Jo is an artist, Lamon Center has many of those art stuff hanged  on the walls.  Last but not  the least, I enjoyed talking to bubbly Joana! It felt like I was talking to myslef,  andami nya ding energy😁

If you wish to enjoy sipping coffee while enjoying the beautiful twon plaze, give Lamon a call at 0995 535 2588.

Breathtaking Batanes

I started planning this Batanes trip 25 years ago when I first saw it at the late Susan Calo Medina's travel show. I knew this is a place I must visit with my husband, who was still then my boyfriend.

Every year since then I'd plan a trip to this northernmost province of the Philippines but so many reasons hindered us from going.

Last February, I booked a ticket at Travel Fair via Airswift for a September Batanes escapade for our 25th year anniversary. Again, for the nth time, our flight was cancelled due to bad weather.

January weather proved to be more cooperative and so John and I finally landed in Basco Airport last January 6. All the best things that happened in Batanes, from day 1, proved to be the most unexpected moments.

Day 1. John helped this pretty young lady who's carrying so many food. Inside the plane, we started talking and we learned that she's a local form Batanes. Upon arrival at the airport, we waited for hours for our tour guide to pick us up but to no avail. They have completely forgotten about us. Good thing Leah was still there to assists us. She helped us find an accommodation, brought her to her house to have lunch and dinner. They were celebrating Three Kings at that time so we were lucky to have been served their famouse local dishes like Vunung. Leah even let us tag along to surprise the mother of her boyfriend who's celebrating her 62nd birthday that night.

Day 2 . We spent the second day with a joint tour with Bisumi Tour and Services (P5,500 per head for three days tour. Inclusive of lunch). We went to see Mt. Carmel Church, Pag-Asa Weather Station, Valugan Boulder Beach (where I met Kakai Bautista), Dipnausuhan Japanese Tunnel, Fundacion Pacita, Vayang Rolling Hills, Basco Lighthouse.

Day 3. Sabtang Tour.

Day 4.

Day 5.   On our fifth day, we went on a side trip at Spring of Youth, still under Bisumi Tour, This tour is not part of the usual three day joint tour so make sure you tell your tour guide if you want to see this hidden gem.

The question now is, sulit ba ang gastos sa Batanes? Yes, oo, sulit na sulit. I am the kind of person na masawain sa tanawin pero sa ganda ng kapaligiran at sa kabaitan ng mga mamamayan, siguradong babalik akong muli sa Breathtaking Batanes!

HairX Hair Removal

A friend once asked me if given the chance to change a part of my body, what would it be? My answer was, "I wouldn't change anything but I'd like to be hair-free from arms to legs. I have achieved being hair-free in my armpits, legs and arms since 2010.

Last November, I achieved another milestone when I tried HairX Hair Removal for "down there".  I was offered by other laser hair removal to try their Brazilian laser hair treatment many times but I was kind of not ready back then for fear of painful procedure. For those who do not know what Brazilian laser hair removal is, it is pubic laser hair removal by laser specialists for those opting for no pubic hair whatsoever. It can either be full brazilian (completely no hair) or half-brazilian.

With HairX, I'm glad to experience hair removal process easy and worry free with the use of the newest technology and up to date practices that make the hair removal process almost pain-free.

I have to admit I feel so comfortable and clean without that hint of hair down there. Am I recommending HairX? Definitely, YES, because it is almost pain-free and their servcices is quite affordable.

Hair Removal have been a primary solution to lose that unwanted hair. There are several types of hair removal services such as shaving, plucking waxing, and the latest IPL technolgy. It has a lot of ups and downs. Let me give you a brief detail on each service:

Shaving removes hair using of a blade or razor by cutting the hair at the skin's surface. The advantage of shaving is that it's painless and the cheapest way. The effects are also instant. The downsides are hair still grows back quick, and the hair quality is much thicker. If not done properly, you can have razor burns, nicks and cuts. Ingrown hairs are also inevitable. You can use creams to soothe the area.

Waxing removes hair by applying hot or cold wax in the hairy area to make the hairs stick to the wax and pulls the hair in the opposite of hair growth.

HairX Hair Removal ensures that each procedure is as painless as possible, combining modern services with the latest state-of-the-art technology such as IPL hair treatments, Diode Laser machine, Lycon wax, and threading procedures for hair removal that is effective with long-term reduction results without the pain and distress. The IPL hair treatment (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad-spectrum, visible light that’s devised to remove shorter wavelengths and target the melanin pigment in the hairs located specific areas of the body.

Hair X also offers Power Brows Microblading, Body Massage and Foot Reflexology (in its S Maison branch only), plus Facial services(Glow, AquaFacial and Pristine Facial) and Skin Lightening Treatments (AquaLite, PristineLite, IV Glutathione, IV Placenta and IV Cinderella). Hair Removal have been a primary solution to lose that unwanted hair. There are several types of hair removal services such as shaving, plucking waxing, and the latest IPL technolgy. It has a lot of ups and downs. Let me give you a brief detail on each service:

What are the advantages of using IPL Treatment for hair removal?

Shaving removes hair using of a blade or razor by cutting the hair at the skin's surface. The advantage of shaving is that it's painless and the cheapest way. The effects are also instant. The downsides are hair still grows back quick, and the hair quality is much thicker. If not done properly, you can have razor burns, nicks and cuts. Ingrown hairs are also inevitable. You can use creams to soothe the area.

Waxing removes hair by applying hot or cold wax in the hairy area to make the hairs stick to the wax and pulls the hair in the opposite of hair growth. Waxing is the painful way to have those hair removed. And the hair should be at least a quarter of an inch too make the pulling out or hair effective. The good thing is that hair regrowth is a bit slow, which will only require you just one trip to the salon in a month. Hair that will regrow will also be finer. The pain becomes tolerable if you get accustom to waxing.

Laser Treatment utilizes laser to penetrate through the skin to target the hair shaft and inhibit hair growth. It essentially destroys the follicle, meaning it can achieve almost permanent removal. Typically, the hair in treated areas falls out within 2-3 weeks. Laser hair removal can be painful, with most people describing it as a “snapping” sensation against the skin, as well as a sensation of heat from the laser. Laser is a semi-permanent solution to a hair free legs, arms and pits The only con is that laser treatments are pricey, it will require several visits to achieve an almost hair free body.

Eduard and Dianne's Eternal Wedding

Jonie and I have been friends since we were in college. We were both seating on that bench under the tree when I started asking from where she was originally. When she said Novaliches, I dig deeper. She wouldn't tell me the exact place pero dahil makulit ako, wala syang nagawa kundi sabihin. It turned out we're both from that small and hidden barangay. She left the place and moved to Cavite since she married at an early age.

When Jonie gave birth to her son Eduard, she got me as Godmother. I was so happy since being Eduard's ninang cemented my friendship with Jonie.

After graduating in college, Jonie and I have only went out twice. That's how busy we were both raising our respective children and building our careers.

Fast forward to January 4, 2019, for Eduard and Dianne's Eternal Wedding. I'm happy to have made it to this very special day despite the many untoward incidences.

I admire these young couple, Eduard is 21 and Dianne is 22, for deciding early that they both want to spend their lives together here and in eternity.

OOTD for 2019

First OOTD for 2019. Wearing white Korean shirt dress that says, "here's lookin' for a clean slate and forgivin' the wrong choices I made last year". The blue Gola shoes hopes for a steady love affair with health and fitness. The sleigh on the side will be my ride for more travels in colder countries. I'm visiting Santa in North Pole😁

One of the most important reasons why I said yes to NNES Batch '86 Reunion is to see my friends. Madami silang sa umattend but I'm highlighting Haydee and Jing on this post. They are two of the most important friends I keep though we haven't seen each other or talked for years.

Our friendship started when were in Grade 5. We were actually 6 girls, namely Carla, Rebecca, Arlene, Haydee, Jing and me. I remember frequenting their homes because I am a au naturel lakwatsera. πŸ˜€

Both Jing and Haydee are truly kind-hearted. I've never seen them got mad easily with mean people and uncomfortable situations. They have me for a friend kaya sanay na sila sa mean person. πŸ˜€ They're also both soft-spoken, unlike me, who'd talk and talk for hours without falter.

Jing is the sweetest among our group. Everyt ime my water bottle would fall, she'd pick it up. One day she just snapped and said, "grabe ka na ha, ako na ang lagi dumadampot ng tubigan mo!". Kaya totoo ang kasabihan na wag gagalitin ang ang mga mababait na tao. Mula noon, I learned my lesson on not to sway my hands too much so my water bottle won't fall. Takot na kong magalit si Jing. πŸ˜€

Haydee is the more quiet, actually mataray one, but I love this girl sooooo much kasi she is a Math genius. I hate Math but Haydee helped me a lot in this subject. If not for Hayd's help I might have flanked Math.

It did not matter whether it took us 32 years to be together again. We just picked up where we left off. because we know in our hearts that we love each other that much that time and distance was not an issue.

Benefits of Cardio Exercise

Every time my family goes on a hotel staycation, we usually just stay inside the room to catch up on sleep. Well, my husband and kids catch up on sleep while I catch up of writing articles and editing videos for this vlog.

Starting this 2019, at Hotel Savoy Manila, John and I hit the gym for that much needed cardio exercise. After workout we enjoyed the steam and sauna room.

Why cardio? Some of the many benefits of cardiovascular exercise include increased heart muscle strength, improved cholesterol, stress reduction, lowered blood pressure, mood and self-esteem boost, weight control, improved sleep.Benefits of Cardio Exercise.

Why Hotel Savoy Manila? This is just the second time we stayed at this hotel but it is already one of our favorite hotels in Manila because it is new, very clean, hotel staff are really nice (specially Ian from the gym) and it is near malls and cinemas.
