Every time I see nuns my heart leaps with joy because at point in time, when I was a little girl, I contemplated on being one of them.
At our recent Taal Volcano Trek, John and I met Sister Frances, Sister Nympha and the rest of Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate. They were happy bunch of sisters enjoying the beautiful scenery while praying for the intentions of the people they are praying for.
The quick chit-chat with them turned into a family retreat when we visited them last Saturday at Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Formation House located in Talisay, Batangas. We actually just came home this afternoon. We stayed with them for 2 nights and 2 days. We were able to join them in their evening prayer, Sunday Mass, breakfast, lunch, dinner. They even toured us to Ambon Ambon Falls where we had a picnic for lunch.
During their recreational night, John and the kids played Slipper Game (the rule of the game is much like soccer except that they use slipper instead of a ball.
On our last night, Julia, Rafael and Juan helped in making Turmeric Powder. Before we went back home, they gave us fruits and ginataang isda to bring home.
We've been to many places, met a lot of people, the experience we had staying with sisters is one we will never forget.
If you or any one you know have the desire to be a sister or nun, feel free to message then directly in Facebook/Messenger.
You may also reach them directly for inquiries about retreat or if you wish to help in their feeding programs and other apostolate activities: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Franciscan-Sisters-of-the-Immaculate-Talisay-Batangas/455590398121000?__tn__=%2CdkC-R-R&eid=ARDL_BzBtX-KRTar9H39kjnm4YAIeRrs9rNY1xY18X0fKgx1kpxHYtY9ShzKPz6V5E-a9ycjwPXbltWS&hc_ref=ARQ2tFjEnHOsGTpL4xvT3NemNaoYeQ-d7MqspkbI2TkPI1TStffYz0AxfYkz2HLH39g&fref=tag
