Yoga Challenge

Yearly, every January to be exact, I'd enroll in a gym or any fitness clubs to strengthen my body and lose those bulges I've been keeping for many years. I have to admit I am lazy when it comes to exercise, I can only keep up in the gym up to a week. As a result, I gained 10 lbs!

At 45, I can now feel the negative effects of not exercising. This 2019, I did not enroll last January in fitness clubs but I did join Fitness First this May, all because my youngest son Juan helped Fitness First Sales Consultant Brian convinced me to. I felt challenged and now of my third week. Not anymore lazy but still struggling to manage my time to be able to be there for my Yoga Challenge. Though Yoga is the main reason why I enrolled in the first place, I've been doing cardio (by machine) exercises for 30 minutes and hoping to increase it as the days go.

There are many branches of yoga. I can't remember it all but this is the only exercise I'm mostly happy because it helps me achieve a sense of focus in various ways for it is relaxing and meditative.

More than 90 percent of people come to yoga for flexibility, stress relief, health, and physical fitness. But, for most people, their primary reason for doing yoga will change. My truth, since I was young I wanted to be a yoga teacher but because I have not been consistent attending classes I'm back to square 1.

I like yoga  because it benefits both my mind and body. It tones my core, which is my biggest problem. improves my focus and makes me feel more confident about myself.
