Mediterranean Lunch

One of the benefits of going to the gym is meeting extraordinary people. One of the many good people I met at Fitness First is Cristina. We instantly click right after that small talk inside the steam room.  Since then she's been giving me healthy breads.

Last week she even invited me for a Mediterranean lunch at an exclusive Shuk in Makati City where I got to meet Mr. Mike Hanopol.

What can I say about this Mediterranean cuisine we had? I like that the foundation of the Mediterranean diet is vegetables, fruits, herbs, nuts, beans and whole grains. Meals are built around these plant-based foods. I enjoyed all the veggies we ordered.  Moderate amounts of dairy, poultry and eggs are also central to the Mediterranean Diet, we had a combination of chicken and beef for our shawarma.  For P600 I was so full I had to bring home the pita or bread.
