Although I drink coffee at Starbucks often, I only started collecting Starbucks Stickers just last year to know why people are hook on having Starbucks Planners.

Last year I was able to redeem three planners because I had a lot of meetings and reunions.  For 2020, I was only able to collect just a few stickers.

Thanking the following people, Riz Avila, Edwin Francia, Cielo Panesa, Aljohn Asprec, Nhaneng Bernal, Raleigh Singson, Dada Balisi Napo, JM Torres cuneta deayala. Hillary Anne Carbonel, Ulrich Manalo and Anne Nuguid, for sharing their stickers.

Planas Pantry Review

I have not seen Janet for years so when we accidentally met in Malaya Street she immedieately asked me to lunch.

Off we went at Planas Pantry, located at  #50 Domingo M. Guevara St. (formerly Libertad St.), Highway Hills, Mandaluyong City.

This small quaint restaurant is not easily seen if one is not familiar with the area. I pass this street almost everyday but I have not seen it because Planas space is small and partly hidden.

One thing is for sure, this rustic-calming restaurant serves good American-Asian dishes.  I tried two Sisig and Shrimp Pasta.

John and I are diners of Monga Taiwanese Chicken  at least twice a week since day one of its grand opening in Megamall.๐Ÿ—

Earlier this lunch time got to see Tonipet at Monga. They just finished their shoot for PopTalk.

I once guested at Poptalk some 7 yeras ago for Ubelt. Tonipet is one of the celebrities na truly nice. Kelan nya kaya ako ulit ige-guest sa PopTalk?

One of my most favorite women in the face of earth is celebrating her 80th Birthday today. She is Ma'am Elisa Santiago Averion, whom I lovingly call Mother.

I met her five years ago, since then every visit to her little store of hair accessories and cleaning stuff makes me more joyful. Masarap kausap si Mother. Mabait, masayahin at maka Diyos sya. Marami syang kwentong kapupulutan ng aral. Dahil sa kanya nakakatipid ako. Instead of buying expensive hair clips at the mall, dito kay Mother yung 99 and up sa mall nasa 10 to 20 lang!

Isa rin syang napaka sipag na tao. Hindi sya basta aasa lang sa iba. Kahit na medyo hirap ng maglakad, kayod pa din sya para sa pang araw-araw nyang pangangailangan.

Benefits of Yoga for Men

I have been in and out of yoga for years. I could not stay long because I do not enjoy going out for yoga while my husband stays home. For years I have been begging him to come with me but to no avail.

After 6 months straight in yoga at Fitness First Megamall, I was about to quit again when John finally joined me for a trial yoga last November.

To cut the long story short, he is now into yoga and more flexible than I am!

Here are here a few great reasons men should do yoga:

1. Yoga promotes weight loss and an overall healthy lifestyle.
2. Yoga can help improve your other workouts and prevent injury.
3. Yoga can increase libido and improve sexual performance.
4. Yoga helps relieve chronic lower back pain.
5. Yoga reduces stress and helps you sleep better.

Yabu with Gwen

Some of my friends have been inviting me to try Yabu for the longest time but I find their locations far from where I live.  Finally I get to try Yabu's Chicken Katsu and Gyudon when Gwen and I met for my treat in winning Mrs. PTA 2019.

I've known Gwen more than five years now. She is the woman behind GJC Public Relations. I am blessed knowing one of the kindest women on earth. Having a conversation with her calms my soul. She is also one of those people na galit na pero malambing pa din. Sana this year mahawaan na ako nya na ako ng pagiging kalmado. ๐Ÿ˜€

Husband vs Wife

Husband vs Wife before yoga class.

I don't sleep much at night kaya ganyan. Ngayon dalawang lugar na kung saan ako nakakatulog ng mahimbing - sa sine at yoga room. ๐Ÿ˜

Mt. Batulao

I first heard about Mt. Batulao from famous mountaineer Coby Sarreal some 8 years ago. Since then John and I wanted to see this inactive volcano, located in northwest Batangas province, but didn't have time to do so.

Finally earlier this morning, with Jonie's assistance, we were able to reached the summit of Mt. Batulao!

We headed straight in the the jumpoff, left the car and paid P100 for the parking. We rode the tricycle for another P100. We paid 3 times for the "entrance" one is P100 per head, P30 per head and P35 per head. Along the trek there's a lugawan in case you get hungry.

I like that the weather was cool the moment we arrived. It's that coolness felt by the visitors of Tagaytay since Batulao is very near Tagaytay. On the other hand, the strong winds make our climb kind of scary. I almost lost my cap and scarf!

The view and landscapes of Batulao remains basically the same throughout the trek because we used the “New Trail”, which for me is really an easy climb. As what Coby said before, Batulao makes for a very good training climb for newbies. The “Old Trail” on the otherhand, they say, is more challenging.

Mendiolables 2020 New Year's Celebration

We usually spend the coming of the new year with our relatives Ate Jo and her kids and nieces with games like charade. This time my husband incorporated yoga in the contest. Funny how the kids will do anything for money. ๐Ÿ˜

When all relatives left I thought that that was it. I was ready to sleep because I was really tired from my annual garage selling, yoga and gift giving.  Hindi pa pala pagod ang mag-aama ko. Apparently they still have lots of energy to do another contest.

Today as we start  year 2020, I aim to laugh a little harder, smile a little bigger because laughter and  smiles are the best universal language available that can get through some of the darkest moments of  life. Have a blessed and Happy New Year! ❤️
