Greenhills Elan Hotel

Day 49 0f 2021 - John and I have been together for 27 years and 5 months, 7 years sweethearts and 20 years as husband and wife, but we never went on a date on February 14 because we hate the traffic and long lines in restaurants. What we do is we usually stay in a hotel a day or two after Valentine's Day.

For 2021 I've decided to book at Greenhills Elan Hotel because it is offered at a low rate of P1,810 all in, at Agoda. This hotel has been operating for 10 years already, according to the Receptionist, but we never knew about it until a co-blogger gave me a breakfast voucher before lockdown happened due to Covid.

I have documented our stay here but my video file was corrupted. Hopefully it can still be retrieve. Otherwise, it is so sad. 😥 The photos below were from my husbands cellphone shot.

 The view from our room

What we like about Greenhills Elan Hotel:

1. Super near, maybe about 2 minutes walk, to Greenhills Shopping Center.

2. Low rate.

3. Super, mega patient hotel staff.

4. Clean facilities.

What we didn't like:

1. Slippers, soaps, water and sanitizing kits (2 face masks, 2 face shields, 1 small alcohol) were not readily available in the room. I had to ask for it.

2. Pool and gym is only open from 2pm to 5pm. We exercise in the morning so it did not meet our schedule.

3. Restaurant is closed.

4. Parking is not free. We were being charged for P654 for an overnight parking. I contested of course because we did not know. When we came in, the guard in charge of the parking did not inform my husband. The receptionist also did not inform me when I checked in. The nice manager tried her best to explain that it was specified in Agoda. I did not see it. She also pointed at the sign they have but but it is not visible for a short woman with very blurry eyes. Had we knew it we would have just taken a cab which will only cost us around P250 back and forth from our place.

Are we recommending this hotel? Yes, because of four reasons we like as stated above. No if you don't want to stay in a government mandated quarantine hotel, because they are. I just knew about this when we were already checked in.
