Child's Pose or Balasana is an excellent resting pose that's practiced in almost every yoga class. The pose is called Child's pose because you form the shape of a baby and your spine is curved naturally like a fetus. It helps release tension in the hips and thighs and relieves pain in both the neck and back. It is also great for calming the mind and relieving stress and fatigue.
