CHINA

John and I got married in 2000. After a year, we've decided to have a baby so we made a quick tour at Shenzhen China. I am proud of my grandmother's (father side) heritage, so I wanted a baby made in China.

On the way to China, I was the only one in our group of Filipino tourists, whom the authorities didn't ask for a passport. They probably thought I'm a citizen. Yeah, I get that all the time. In hotels and malls, Chinese people talked to me in Chinese. Maybe, it's high time that I study Chinese language, so the next time we go back in China, I can stay for good without acquiring a visa (LOL).
We stayed overnight in Sunon Hotel, but we were not successful in our quest.
Julia and Rafael were proudly made in the Philippines (wink!).

CHINA
Tori Amos

China all the way to New York
I can feel the distance getting close
You're right next to me
But I need an airplane
I can feel the DISTANCE as you breathe

Sometimes I think you want me to touch you
How can I when you build a great WALL around you
In your eyes I saw a future together
You just look away in the distance

China decorates our table
Funny how the CRACKS don't seem to show
Pour the wine dear
You say we'll take a holiday
But we never can agree on where to go

Sometimes I think you want me to touch you
How can I when you build a great WALL around you
In your eyes I saw a future together
You just look away in the distance

China all the way to New York
Maybe you got lost in MEXICO
You're right next to me
I think that you can hear me
Funny how the distance learns to grow

Sometimes I think you want me to touch you
How can I when you build a great WALL around you
I can feel the distance
I can feel the distance
I can feel the distance getting close
