I'd like to think that I am by heart friendly, but in reality we can only be friends with a handful of people. Today is a very special day as my very special friend celebrates her 40th birthday.
Meet Faye. We met in 1989 when we were both third year transferees in St. Francis. Though Faye transferred in another school the next school year, we continued to be friends. Faye is extra special compared to my other friends because she was around during my most trying times. We both took B.S Biology in Far Easter University. During that time my mom was ailing and money was scarce. Faye, picks me up from my place then back so I can save money for fare. Every break time Faye buys 2 Dunkin' Donuts Boston Creme for us to share.
I stopped schooling the next semester because my mom was already very sick. Though Faye and I lost contact for many years as we both became busy with our respective lives, she stayed in my heart and is consistently reminded of our friendship every time I see Dunkin' Donuts Boston Creme.
On my 40th birthday I asked Malou to make sure Faye will be there. It was my turn to thank her for those many Dunkin' Donuts Boston Creme she happily shared with me.
Nowadays, Faye and I, along with Malou go out on a date and make sure we finish the day by having Dunkin' Donuts Boston Creme.
Certainly, our friendship stays stronger than ever over Dunkin' Donuts Boston Creme.

Boston Kreme used to be bigger before and it doesn't have that 3 white-icing lines. |
Happy 40th birthday, Faye! You are forever here in my boston cream-filled heart.
