Marmalade Kitchen

I'm a brunch person. In the morning I just take a cup of coffee and brunch followed at around 10:30 am.  Having said that, it's wonderful to be invited at Marmalade Kitchen where food is served beautifully and tastefully!

Marmalade Kitchen made me feel at home.  I like the wide seats, the wide uncluttered floor and their big, clean and fresh smelling restroom!

It's always nice to arrive in the venue earlier.  I was able to chit chat with the owner-chef, Chef Aileen Anastacio. When asked why Marmalade? Chef Aileen said to represent the color marmalade. The restaurant has touches of orange color all around. I particularly like their lamp!

Nice color combination for Chef Aileen and I
She built  built Marmalade Kitchen because she loves cooking and teaching at the same time.  It offers the many things that she loves, largely inspired by her experiences working in a professional restaurant in the US, to her  many travels abroad.  Marmalade Kitchen is a home for delectable eats and treats and good learning. The dishes is a roundup of food that brings her utmost comfort and pleasure void of unnecessary garnishes and condiments, healthy food!

This book was published internationally, written by the triple A Chef - Chef Aileen A. Anastacio

Had mocha as I wait for the others to arrive. This mocha will surely be a hit to my husband.

Pumpkin is my least favorite vegetable and that means a pumpkin soup is not in my list, but Marmalade Kitchen's Pumpkin Soup changed my perception of having that heavy-full-kind-of-feeling. Ang sarap, naubos ko e!

Cauliflower Fritters in sweet, spicy, sticky sauce, P210.00, is great for kids who can't stand the sight of a vegetable. This one tastes like shrimp inside.

Chef Aileen - owner and Chef of Marmalade Kitchen as she showed as one of their best sellers, skinless longanisa served with egg, tomato and atchara, P295.00.  I brought home 3/4 of my leftover, and it was a hit to my children!

Mouth watering cream of mushroom egg benedict, P300.00 for single / P470.00 for sharing,
my ultimate favorite!
Pulled Pork Sandwich with onions string, cabbage slaw, bbq sauce, and mayo garlic on toasted bun
, P360.00

The black  pasta is intriguingly delicious.  Chef Aileen  made this one of a kind pasta from scratch, using the best flour, along with eggs, water and squid ink.

No one can resist this Banana pancake.
For finale, MK's brewed coffee
