I was sick for the whole week. Good thing it was my kids semestral break so they had the time to stay for days at their cousins' and friends' place while I recover. To make up for the lost time, I prepared a surprise Halloween Party for my kids at home.
I started with baking cupcakes (which is actually a brownie) using Joy Felizardo's brownie recipe. I wanted to decorate the brownie with something scary but I couldn't go out for I was still feeling weak. So, I checked the cupboard and found this rice crispies. I used it to make a simple Halloween theme cupcakes.
I cooked Kare-Kare ala Vendetta
I cooked sopas de undas by making the carrots look like Halloween pumpkin heads,
boiled on a leftover crispy pata.
Strawberry juice for the bloody drink
Then I simply decorated the house with touch of Halloween here and there.
Halloween won't be Halloween without the sweet treats.
Then I invited few friends to join us for this Surprise Halloween Party.

who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly-lit front porch."
