City of Mandaluyong Science High School Recognition Day 2018

The City of Mandaluyong Science High School held its Recognition Day 2018 for Grades 7, 8, 9, and 11 last week. I'm happy and proud that my twin kids were both their. Julia received medal for honors and Rafael played a big part in this celebration; he carried the school flag and one of the official photographers.

Mrs. Lav Resurrecion read a lengthy and colorful notes as she introduced the achievements of the Guest Speaker, Dr. Bill Allen Alarcon. He was a former student of CMSHS under the advisory class of Ma'am Resurrecion.

I'd like to share the words spoken by Dr. Regino and Dr. Alarcon during the recognition:

"Our hands are made by God to serve.
To serve our parents and people whom we do not know
that needs our help"
Dr. Corazon Ramiro Regino

********

"To the students, there are no secrets to success.
It is the result of preparation, hardwork and learning from failure."
To the parents, you do not really need to be very affluent to send your child to college and realize their dreams. Let us not allow scanty resources be a hindrance in dreaming big things. All you have to do is to guide them, support them and encourage them. After all everyone of us is capable of achieving something".
Dr. Bill Allen Alarcon
